Thoughts on Viernes–Last One of 2008

DC NOTE: Apologies for such a late posting. I’ve been fighting through a cold, been a little cranky, yet still festive. This year, my thoughts will be some of my top resolutions:

Get Off My Lazy Ass and Grow DosCentavos
Yes, I need to switch platforms, leave Blogger for good, and then start selling myself nationally. Why should Kos have all the fun? (Don’t worry, I won’t forget my TPA friends!)

Type Another Page of My Great Mexican American Novel
Yes, I have not forgotten about the book I am writing. I must have the beginnings of 5 or 6 books, notions, ideas, etc., but I need to just sit down and write. Perhaps I need some snowy, mountainous area with a nice cabin to give me the motivation. I hear New Mexico writer Rudolfo Anaya sometimes lends his cabin out. I wonder if he likes Chicano bloggers?

Take Up a New Hobby
I‘m in need of a hobby. Beyond politics and blogging–although, both do have the tendency to pay the bills if I do it right. I’ve been searching websites, looking at stuff on Ebay, and I have yet to find something to which I’d like to commit. I do hope to find something fun, something that adds to my knowledge, and something that allows me to think a lot more.

Begin a Daily Workout Regimen
Not just to add to my amazingly awesome looks (you may laugh now), but also just for health reasons. Back in 2007, I was working out daily, belonged to a gym, and I was the picture of health. Then came my knee injury, and my workout regimen stopped completely. Let’s just say things have not been as healthy for me. No, there have not been any bad test results, but there comes a time when one just does not feel healthy. So, I have decided to get back on my horse and start getting all “fine” again. I recommend it to all my readers who may not feel so good sometimes.

Professional Growth
Make it happen–even in this bad economy!

Stop Saying You Are Moving!
I have decided that staying in Kingwood is probably best for me. I’ve been moving inside the loop for a couple of years, and in 2008, I was stopped by Ike. Let’s face it, I think Kingwood wants me to stay…at least a while longer.

Say Thank you!
I don’t think I say it often enough, but thanks. Thanks to all of you who visit DosCentavos to get your Daily Dos, whether it is for a political fix, or one that is cultural. We are headed toward our Fourth Year and our 3000th post. So, thanks for sticking around!
