Leave it to the folks at the Houston Public Library to avoid taking advantage of a local cultural celebration. On their website is that announcement that giving a talk at the Central Library on Cinco de Mayo is none other than…Cokie Roberts.
Now, I don’t have much against Cokie. I just wish the Library could have gotten some up and coming Latin@ writer. Heck, a major one would have done just fine, too.
Oh well. An Opportunity lost.
Since she wil be celebrating that great American holiday, Cinco de Mayo, she can call herself Concha.
