Have Money? Make a Deal! Have Family? Get Deported

The violent ICE raid of a rag factory in the East End was major news last year. According to the Chron, over 160 of the factory’s employees were undocumented, and the raid rounded them all up.  These hard-working women with children are either in a detention center or deported.  But what about the oppressor who enjoyed the cheap labor?

The owner of a Houston used clothing exporting company was sentenced to two years probation on Wednesday for conspiring to harbor illegal immigrants in connection with a raid last summer.

Add to that a nice gift from the Judge.

One of the charges against Kahlon, 45, was dropped in exchange for the plea deal. Kahlon was also fined $6,000 by U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison.

Yet, families have been separated. Children are without mothers. And no one seems to care.

And we complain about human rights in other countries?
