Fundraiser for School Playground in Kingwood

A fire destroyed a playground at Foster Elementary in Kingwood (Humble ISD) on the morning of July 4th, and now, the community is getting together to to rebuild it

Foster Elementary’s PTA has set up a special account for those wishing to contribute. Donations can be made through Pay Pal. Click here for the link. Donations also may be made at any Chase bank. A special account has been established, and the proceeds will be used to replace the equipment.

An Atascocita restaurant is also joining in with a fundraiser in which they will donate a part of their proceeds from a few days to the cause.  Organized by my friend and prospective candidate for Harris County Department of Education Board Trustee (Pct. 4) Vernon Reed, this will be a welcome contribution, I’m sure.

To help support this project Christopher’s Italian Restaurant in Atascocita is hosting a fundraiser on July 27th, 28th, and 29th come enjoy lunch (11:30am – 1:30pm) or dinner 5pm-9pm) and Christopher’s will generously donate 20% of your total bill to Foster Elementary’s PTA to help restore their playground.

Christopher’s is located at 5324 Atascocita Road @ Timber Forest Drive.

Because of school budget cuts, the replacement of the equipment is left up to the community.
