I’m 49 years old and have been married to my wife Liz for almost 22 years. We have three great kids who range in age from 17 to 7. I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, cycling, hunting and fishing. As a kid I was active in the Boy Scouts and was awarded Eagle Scout.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts, Master of Business Administration and Law degrees from Tulane University. I have been a licensed attorney inHouston for almost 23 years. During this time I have represented clients at all levels of the court system and have resolved several hundreds of cases. I have also owned and operated a small business and have a firm understanding of how the law impacts individuals and business on a daily basis.
I am passionate about the law and how it should be applied equally and fairly to all. As many of you know, I ran for judge in 2006, at a time when it was almost impossible to find anyone willing to admit they were a Democrat, much less make a commitment to run for political office. Although I did not win in 2006 my race was the closest district court race in over 14 years. Since that time I have continued to be involved with the Democratic Party as a volunteer, Precinct Chair, Committee Member, Senate District representative, Club member and supporter of many Democratic candidates.
I will be on the ballot in 2010 as a candidate for Judge of the 189th Civil District Court in Harris County, Texas. This is the same bench I ran for previously and with our help and suport 2010 will be the year we as Democrats put an end to the Republican domination of the Harris County Court System.
