DUPED?
A reliable source has advised DosCentavos.net that a fake e-mail with fake address and even a fake contact person is at fault for below-referenced endorsement list. I guess that is what happens when an organization has no semblance of public proof of existence but wants to throw around endorsements based on their name. And if candidates don’t check out the organizations…
Of course, considering that most candidates wanted to visit the Tea Baggers…
A bigoted fringe group calling itself “Christians for Better Government” has endorsed a slate of candidates, including Gene Locke for Mayor. This wouldn’t sound like a bad thing if they didn’t point out why they did not endorse Annise Parker.
Annise Parkers lifestyle that of being a HOMOSEXUAL is not the proper role model to lead the fourth largest city in the United States. The Bible speaks clearly against the lifestyle she represents, James 1:8 says, “A double minded man is confused in all his ways”. She does not believe in what the scripture says about her lifestyle which in return means she doesn’t believe in God.
These candidates–all of them–should reject the endorsement from such a bigoted organization. And they are:
District A – Brenda Stardig (Who recently complained about the 60% Latino population in HISD schools as part of the immigration issue–what a Christian!)
District B – Jarvis Johnson

District D – Wanda Adams
District E – Mike Sulivan
District F – Joe Chow
District G – Dexter Handy
District H – Ed Gonzalez
District I – James Rodriguez
At – Large Position 1 – Hermann Litt
At – Large Position 2 – Rosalyn “Rozzy” Shorter
At – Large Position 3 – Melissa Noriega
At – Large Position 4 – C.O “Brad” Bradford
At – Large Position 5 – Dr. Davetta Daniels

REJECTIONS:
Gene Locke: “I vehemently reject this so-called ‘endorsement’ from a group calling itself ‘Christians for Better Government.’ Furthermore, as a church-going Christian, I reject any association with this bogus and divisive style of campaigning. I find the message contained in their press release to be reprehensible, and the people of Houston do, too. I trust Houstonians to choose a new mayor based on the issues and the candidates, and not to be swayed by this kind of ugly rhetoric.”
Annise Parker: ”I commend Gene Locke for rejecting the purported endorsement announced by a group calling itself “Christians for Better Government.” There is no room in this city for bigotry, whether it’s based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender or any other difference between us. We are all Houstonians in a wonderfully diverse city and that is what makes us strong.”
Herman Litt–At-Large #1: “I emphatically reject the endorsement from a group calling itself Christians for Better Government. I reject any association with the group and the bigoted message found in their press release. This type of offensive language is repulsive to me. The people of Houston deserve better and are certainly not interested in this type of campaigning. Houstonians are interested in campaigns and candidates who will help the City become a better place to live and not in things that will tear it down.”
