The Chron reports that former City Councilman and local attorney Gordon Quan is considering a challenge of Hunker-Down Ed.  Quan, of course, would run in the Democratic Primary first.\

Quan, an immigration lawyer, said he plans to announce a decision near the middle of December.

First, he said, he’ll investigate what impact he could make as one of the five-member Commissioners Court that runs county government.

“You don’t want to jump into anything until you’ve had a chance to see whether you can do something to actually improve the situation,” he said. He also plans to consult the partners in his law practice before running.

Back when Quan was mulling over a possible run for the Dem nomination for CD-22, I was ready to move to CD-22 to support him.  Thankfully, this time, I won’t need to move.
