I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m excited about the Texas Democratic Party State Convention in Houston this week. Along with all the official stuff from the agenda, there’s also a few other things going on at the same time.
The Ladies Room
This is the first ever Women’s Hospitality Suite which will have all sorts of activities throughout the confab. Put on by the Democratic Women of Harris County, the schedule is packed with stuff in which women may participate. Check it out!
Blogger Caucus
Yes, the Texas Progressive Alliance is having another Blogger Caucus on Friday night of the TDP Convention. Sure, there are lots of activities going on, but if you go (Dem) party-hopping, make sure you come and visit this shindig. Details soon!
Engaged, United & Voting
While the TDP Convention is a showcase of the diversity of the Party (unlike the other party), this activity is sure to gain a lot of attention. A group of young Latinas and Latinos will be moving about the convention announcing that they are ready to be the difference in November. If you run into someone wearing an “Engaged, United, & Voting” t-shirt, talk to them, encourage them, and join the movement! I’ll be writing more about this on Wednesday.
