When You Can’t Tell Them Apart…

Democracy sure has a huge problem when one cannot tell who’s on whose side. We already have the DSCC example, now the Rethugs have George Allen saying something stupid…on camera!

George Allen referred to an Indo-American UVA student by the name of S.R. Sidarth, who just happens to be volunteering for Allen’s opponent as “Macaca.”

“This fellow here, over here with the yellow shirt, macaca, or whatever his name is. He’s with my opponent. He’s following us around everywhere. And it’s just great,” Allen said, as his supporters began to laugh. After saying that Webb was raising money in California with a “bunch of Hollywood movie moguls,” Allen said, “Let’s give a welcome to macaca, here. Welcome to America and the real world of Virginia.”

Even more sickering are the Allen campaign’s explanations, like, “He meant macaw, the bird.” And what about the “welcome to America” remark? The only non-white face gets targeted. Gee, I know how that feels!

Even more sickening (is it possible) is when the DSCC can’t tell themselves apart from George Allen. They’ll attack Allen and attack immigrants on the same webpage!
