Horse Carcasses in Family Newspaper?

OK–So the editors of the Chron won’t run La Cucaracha because “it’s a family newspaper,” but I guess one thing they believe families want to see is a photo of horse carcasses at a slaughter plant in Mexico.

Along with such a descriptive article on the horse slaughter process, I’m sure Sunday morning readers have been left as sickened as I.

So, it’s OK to show Mexicans as slaughter-crazy, but given a smart Mexican who writes and draws biting political satire, it’s just not family-friendly?
